the leaker Steve Hemmerstofferknown from the profile OnLeaksreleased this Thursday (24) in partnership with the portal Giznext the first leak of the Samsung Galaxy A34, the next entry model of the popular Galaxy A family. With renders and superficial details of the alleged technical sheet, the information suggests that the device should follow the design line of the rest of the 2023 line, with a more refined appearance. minimalist strongly inspired by what is expected from the Galaxy S23.

Apparently, Samsung should seek to unify the look of all its smartphones in 2023, a point already noticeable in the leaks of the Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A14, and now reinforced by the images of the Galaxy A34. There are no big news in the front area, which should have thinner edges on the sides and top, and thicker at the base of the display, as well as a drop-shaped notch to house the selfie camera.

The alleged Galaxy A34 should follow the expected design line of the Galaxy S23

It’s at the back where the biggest difference is: the robust and detailed look of the Galaxy A33 gives way to minimalism, without a camera module — the lens is “loose” in the upper left corner, next to the LED flash. The appearance is extremely similar to that of the supposed Galaxy S23, with the expected tweaks for a significantly lower price point. Positioned as an entry-level cell phone, the 100% plastic construction must be one of those concessions.

It is also possible to notice the presence of a microphone, speaker and USB-C port on the lower side, and power and volume buttons on the right side, without a fingerprint reader — just like the previous generation, biometrics must be performed with a sensor positioned under the screen. In addition, the number of rear cameras dropped from 4 to 3, the same strategy seen in the supposed A54 and A14.

Galaxy A34 should bring AMOLED screen and 5G by default

The leak brings few details about the technical sheet of the device, relying only on the dimensions of the body and the phone’s screen. The Galaxy A34 should feature measurements of 161.3 x 77.7 x 8.2 mm, and a 6.5-inch flat panel. It is not yet known what type of display will be used, but considering the specifications of the Galaxy A33, and the expectation of having a digital reader under the screen, it is very likely that the choice will be Super AMOLED, with a high refresh rate.

Another expected feature when looking at the previous generation is the presence of 5G by default. Although it seems obvious, there are still a considerable number of basic smartphones without 5G support. With an increasing number of countries receiving access to the new connection, and a broader portfolio of compatible processors, Samsung should start prioritizing the adoption of the 5th generation mobile network even in low-cost cell phones.

The data released by OnLeaks and Giznext do not detail the processing, but there is a strong chance that we will see the Galaxy A34 rely on the yet-to-be-announced Exynos 1330, seen in recently leaked certifications. It is also possible that the device employs the Exynos 1380, another leaked component expected to be used in the Galaxy A54.
